No Carb Flavor Concentrates- A Unique Discovery For Dietician And Nutritionists
Dietician And Nutritionists
by George Napoli
Dieticians and Nutritionists recently conducted their annual
conference and expo in Denver in October. Over 800 of these
professionals were sampled with natural flavor concentrates
that contain just a hint of stevia and 0 carbs. Their
response was truly overwhelming. Not only did they think
they delivered on flavor, but they loved the idea they
contained no carbs.
The Dieticians and Nutritionists that were sampled at the
conference specialized in the areas of weight loss and
diabetics. This group of professionals knows the storyline
that we're consuming more calories than ever. About 450
calories a day, that's a tremendous 29 pounds yearly
consumers have to deal with. As a group, they see the value
in a 0 carb, 0 calorie flavor concentrate used to enhance
the flavor of water while promoting drinking proper amounts
of water.
Dieticians and Nutritionists are challenged in the treatment
of weight loss and diabetics when it comes to beverages.
Their patients are not able to drink high caloric beverages
so they have very limited options for beverages and soft
drinks. Natural flavor drops and concentrates with 0 carbs
were a welcome recommendation for these professionals.
Here's the issue with most soft drink beverages. Juices,
sodas and pops are filled with high fructose corn syrups,
that are usually nothing more than sweetened water. A lot of
these drinks also contain artificial sweeteners that promote
insulin, so they are not a solution for diabetics.
Here's a great side advantage to using natural flavor
concentrates: they promote proper hydration. When water
tastes better, consumers will probably drink more water. The
better water tastes, the more you will drink, it's that
easy.
For the first time, Dieticians and Nutritionists have a go
to product that serves as a low cost alternative and no carb
product to recommend to their patients and consumers alike.
Flavoring drops and concentrates are natural flavorings of
fruit, berry or citrus and contain just a hint of stevia to
enhance the flavoring, not sweeten it. Some natural flavor
drops contain low carbs and low calories, others on the
market contain 0 Calories, 0 Carbs, 0 Fats.
Stevia is a natural sweetener that is approved for
diabetics. Stevia is 200-300 times sweeter than sugar and is
heat stable to 390 degrees. A prefect natural sweetener to
enhance any flavoring application: hot or cold.
Check with your dietician or nutritionist to learn all about
natural flavor drops for flavoring water, teas, dairy
products and desserts. Flavoring concentrates are great to
flavor almost any beverage or food products.
Natural concentrates are available at your local weight loss
or diabetic clinics and health food stores. You can easily
find these products in the market and they are also
available for purchase online. Search natural flavoring
concentrates or flavored waters and look for 0 carbs, 0
calories.
Natural flavor concentrates are a real value and typically
make gallons of flavored water per bottle. Some companies
claim up to 5 gallons of flavored water out of one bottle.
Typical serving size is 4-6 drops per 8 oz and a half oz
bottle contains 600 drops.
Next time you want to quench your thirst, reach for tap
water and a natural flavoring drop to blend your own
flavored waters. Flavor concentrates are pennies per use,
easy to bring with you and easy to use. Best thing is, you
control the boldness of flavoring by the number of drops you
use letting you mix the perfect tasting flavored waters each
time.

flavor concentrates knows we're consuming more calories than
ever. He has researched the benefits and cures of water and
the connection with weight gain from consuming high caloric
beverages. These issues were the premise for their new line
of flavor drops with 0 calories, used for

Is The Atkins Grapefruit Diet Genuine?
The Atkins Grapefruit diet is a diet plan, not supported by
the firm of Dr. Atkins, that plays on the fame of the
grapefruit diet and the Atkins diet name. A closer
inspection of this diet shows that it may not be all it
purports to be.
First of all, it's pretty difficult to find information on
the Atkins grapefruit diet plan. Smart people know that when
someone is perpetrating a deception, or a con, they will
often gloss over facts. This is what the Atkins grapefruit
diet seems to do in an attempt to persuade people to
associate it with two supposedly effective diets.
So, is the Atkins Grapefruit Diet part of the Atkins Diet or
supported by the firm of the late Dr. Atkins? The answer is
a resounding 'no', not only is there no mention of the
Atkins Grapefruit Diet on the Atkins website, but there is
no fruit of at all mentioned in the list of permitted foods
in the Atkins diet Induction phase.
The induction stage recommends the following foodstuffs:
Fish of all species. All fowl such as turkey and chicken.
All shellfish. All meat such as beef or pork. Eggs cooked in
all styles, including fried. Cheese. Vegetables. Herbs and
Spices. Fats and Oils. Low carbohydrate beverages, including
diet sodas.
Notice something? No fruit is mentioned on that list. Later
phases of the Atkins diet do recommend limited amounts of
fruits such as cantaloupe and even lemon juice, and the
pre-maintenance and maintenance phases even specifically
allow small quantities of grapefruit. But when compared to
the amount of Grapefruit recommended on the Atkins
Grapefruit Diet, once more there is a disagreement.
The Atkins Grapefruit Diet advocates a cup of grapefruit
juice or a cup of grapefruit sections, with 8 and 18 carbs
respectively. Even the most generous stages of the Atkins
diet advocates limiting grapefruit intake to less than 8
carbs a day. That's a direct contradiction of one diet with
the other
Most reasonable people would take a look at the Atkins
website itself the moment they heard of the Atkins
Grapefruit Diet. If they saw no mention of that diet on the
website, then a red light would flash and an alarm bell
would sound.
In general, you should remember this: any diet that relies
too heavily on one food, such as grapefruit on a grapefruit
diet, is not healthy for any but very short periods. The
Atkins Grapefruit Diet is not associated with the Atkins
diet, and may interfere with the results of the Atkins diet
in its early stages.

Long Islands Best Hamburgers
When it comes to food, I am no gourmet expert. I do however
know what I like. Now there are many foods that I love and
really like but when it comes down to it one of my Favorite
foods has to be Hamburgers!
Now I have been all over and while I have been to some
really great Burger Joints in Upstate NY and a few other
states, I have spent allot of my life on Long Island in New
York. There are many great places to eat here on Long Island
but when it comes to Hamburgers I have two favorite places.
The first is "All American Hamburger Drive" in 4286 Merrick
Rd Massapequa, NY 11758 this place has been around as long
as I can remember. As a kid growing up every trip home from
Jones Beach always ended with a stop at this old fashion
Burger Joint. Their is always a line outside of All American
but the wait is worth it. They have two Burgers I love Their
Quarter pounder with Cheese and their Double Double which is
a double Burger with double cheese. I have been trying to
figure out which one I like better for years. I have had fun
trying but have not figured it out yet, If I ever Figure it
out I will let you all know ! All American also has some of
the best Fries, Onion Rings, Knishes and Milk Shakes I have
ever had!
Now where All American Hamburger Drive In sells a fast food
style Burger and I love them, There is also another Style
Burger which I love too and that is the Bar Burger! Their
are many really great places on Long Island that sell some
really Great Bar Burgers but as the old saying goes when it
comes to the best "their can be only one"!
My Favorite Long Island Bar Burger I have had so far has got
to be from the "Triangle Pub" 381 Old Montauk Hwy Eastport,
NY 11941 I have been to this place a bunch of times over the
years and their Burgers are always Great! Now I can only
speak about their large Burgers (Never got one of the small
ones). The Triangle Pub is known by many across Long Island
for its Giant Burgers and Giant Glasses of Ice Cold Beer!
There is not much to say about the place as I have never had
anything there beside the Beer and large Burger meal. The
people are friendly, The service is good, The Location is
Nice and the Giant Burger and Beer Combo with French fries
or onion rings is incredible. I love stopping by either for
dinner or lunch !
Like I said before I am not a food expert I just know what I
like. I have not eaten every where on Long Island so if you
know of a place that you think serves better Burgers then
the two I have just told you about then let me know what
they are called and where they are located and I will be
there!
I also really Like Chicken Wings!!! L.J. James

Is Sushi Okay for Someone with Diabetes?
When looking at how to adjust your diet you may come up with
some questions regarding specific types of food. Being
diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes does not mean that you cannot
indulge in the foods that you have previously enjoyed. In
fact, sushi is probably one of the most speculated foods for
those dealing with diabetes. So, Is Sushi Okay for Someone
with Type 2 Diabetes?
Sushi is full of nutrients. It can contain all kinds of
vegetables and lean proteins. It is a very eye appealing
food and many people enjoy it. The popularity has been
increasing over time and the US has found more and more
sushi restaurants being built.
However, those who suffer from Type 2 Diabetes need to
approach sushi with a bit of caution. Those who are
diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes typically have diets that are
full of high glucose foods that cause their blood sugar to
be off kilter.
White rice is a perfect example of those high glucose foods
that can prove detrimental to your blood sugar levels. Most
traditional pieces of nigiri sushi and sushi rolls are
constructed with a fair amount of this rice.
It is important that you take into account how much of that
rice you are eating when you are having sushi. Additionally,
not all rolls are constructed with healthy ingredients. In
fact, you will often find some very elaborate rolls that are
filled with fried ingredients or heavily sugared sauces.
Sashimi is a type of sushi that works very well for a
diabetic. Sashimi is a sushi roll without the rice. It is
very good for anyone that needs to avoid foods that are too
high on the glycemic index.

Kitchen Tools for Moms Who Want Healthy Families
One common electronic appliance found in healthy kitchens is
a vegetable juicer. (http://greenlifejuicers.com) Juicers
are used as a way to quickly prepare all of those extremely
healthy raw vegetables so you can get enough of them into
your diet. Eating them one at a time every day can cause
you to learn to dislike them. If you turn them into juice
instead, you can drink a cup once per day in a few seconds.
That makes it much easier to get them in.
If you have a choice between plastic or stainless steel
kitchen gadgets go with the stainless steel. Plastics are
composed of ultra refined petroleum based materials. Over
the years, some of the plastic will break down and release
byproducts into whatever it comes in contact with. You
would not want any of that tainting your food.
Healthy homes prefer glass containers over plastic ones.
This is because of the plastic's properties. Glass doesn't
have the petroleum based components that could allow some
seepage of unwanted byproducts into your stored food. Glass
containers are usually pretty smooth and easier to clean.
Food particles have a much harder time sticking inside of
glass containers as most of the other ones. Cleaner
containers means less bacteria growing on the particles left
behind after you wash them.
Healthy kitchens across the globe are full of all kinds of
healthy gadgets. On of those common appliances is the food
dehydrator. Food dehydrators allow you to preserve the
enzyme rich foods that you love to snack on without cooking
away all of the really beneficial enzymes of the food. If
you have healthy things to snack on, it will be much easier
to watch what you eat when hunger strikes. Why not make it
easier to stick to a healthy diet?
Some healthy homes keep filtered or purified water on hand.
You could install a central water filtration system for the
whole home or just put one under your kitchen sink. If you
don't want either project, you can just get yourself a
pitcher with the filter in it. Water filtration is one of
the simplest ways to upgrade the health of a kitchen. It is
an easy way to reduce you body's exposure to pollutants.
Look inside a healthy cook's kitchen and you'll likely find
a variety of cookbooks. In order to keep things
interesting, you need to try new recipes. Otherwise, you
will get sick of eating the same old things. Spend a few
dollars and get yourself a few great healthy cookbooks.
A food processor could drastically reduce the time required
to prepare certain types of food. If you are making lots of
casseroles and soups, having an electric gadget to do some
of the prep work will make meals a lot less of a burden to
prepare. Buying one of these items is money well spent.
Smart shoppers looking for (http://greenlifejuicers.com)

Mexican Holidays and Authentic Mexican Holiday Food
by KC Kudra
Mexican food is an integral part of Mexican holidays and
celebrations, adding to the color and vibrancy of the
occasion. One holiday that most people have heard of is Day
of the Dead, which is when families gather together to
remember their loved ones who have died. Day of the Dead is
celebrated on November 1 and 2.
The traditions followed on this holiday include building
altars to honor the dead and visiting their graves with
gifts of the deceased's favorite foods and drinks.
Another well-known Mexican holiday is Cinco de Mayo. This is
a regional holiday all over Mexico, but especially in the
area of Puebla. This holiday celebrates the Mexican victory
over the French in the Battle of Puebla, which was fought in
1862.
Some people wrongly assume that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's
Independence Day but their Independence Day is actually
September 16. Independence Day is the most important
national holiday in Mexico.
Favorite Mexican Holiday Foods
Mexican cuisine is a wonderful blend of Aztec, Mayan,
Spanish, French, Caribbean and traditional Mexican cookery
and more and Mexicans are justifiably proud of their
culinary heritage. Some foods are associated with specific
Mexican holidays but with other Mexican holidays, such as
Cinco de Mayo, the family just cooks up their favorite
dishes for the occasion.
Often, the women will get together and prepare plenty of
food for their Mexican holidays. Tamales are associated with
Mexican celebrations because they take a long time to make.
This is the reason why tamales are often made just a few
times a year, in big batches. Steamed tamales often feature
at Mexican parties.
You will find Mexican wedding cakes and Mexican wedding
cookies at weddings but also at other celebrations. Rosca de
Reyes is enjoyed on January 6. This is a tasty festive
bread, which is shaped like a wreath. It is decorated with
lemon, cherries, mango and candied figs and it contains a
tiny baby Jesus doll. If you find the baby Jesus in your
slice of cake, you have to make the food for Candlemas, on
February 2.
Delicious Mexican Drinks
You might think the answer is Coronita and tequila but there
are other drinks, which are popular in Mexico. Rompope is a
good example and this thick, frothy beverage is a big like
eggnog with rum, almond, and cinnamon flavors.
Atole is a thick drink, which is often served on Mexican
holidays with breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is flavored
with cinnamon, sweetened with brown sugar, and topped with
fruit. Atole is a very special and luxurious drink.
(http://www.mexicanfoodrecipes.org/) Traditional Mexican
food is surprisingly easy to make and you do not have to
wait until holiday time to enjoy Mexican delicacies. The
ingredients are easy to find too. Mexicans love to eat with
their families and the real gems of Mexican cookery are
something that not many people are aware of, such as the
delicious creamy Mexican drinks and their authentic tamale
recipes.

A Lobster Bake is a Great Way to Feed the Family
by Shannon Linnen
Now that we are again facing the cold winter months, our
minds are turning toward the food that can keep us warm when
we're home with our families at night. There are many great
traditional options to keep us warm. Many people enjoy
baking, as it fills their house with inviting aromas, and
the warmth of the oven. Many others enjoy stews and
casseroles, in order to warm from within. But there are
other meals that you can have that, while untraditional, are
still warm and inviting in the cold winter months, like a
lobster bake!
It is likely that you're wondering why a summer sounding
dish like a lobster bake would be prepared in the winter?
Part of the allure of the lobster bake is its ties to sun
and surf. While the wind and snow blow outside, you can
enjoy the smells and tastes of a warm summer day, right in
your home. And lobster is such an easy meal to prepare and
share that you can enjoy this respite from the cold with
friends and family, giving them a taste of summer as well.
It is true that in the past it would have been a lot of work
to find all of the lobster you would need for a great
midwinter lobster bake. Most grocery stores don't even carry
lobster in the winter. Those that do most likely wouldn't
have enough for all of the friends and family that you would
want to invite. And the lobsters that you would find would
be tough, old, and over priced. But now, you can easily
order fresh lobster online, saving yourself the trouble of
looking, and the expense.
What are you going to need for your lobster bake? For
starters, you will need your lobsters, of course! How large
your lobsters should be depends on the type of event that
you will be having. If you plan to have a small gathering,
where everyone is enjoying their own lobster, than a one
pound lobster per person is a great idea. If you want to
enjoy a more classic place setting, then two to three pound
lobsters shared per couple, or enjoyed as claws and tails
only, is a great solution.
When you're ready for vegetables, the lobster stock pot
makes a great place to cook them up without any additional
mess. Carrots, potatoes, and onions also taste especially
great when boiled in lobster stock. You can also easily
broil a few strip steaks to make your lobster bake into a
surf and turf feast. It gives the picky eaters something to
enjoy, and will impress all of your family and friends.
While it's cold and blustery outside, why not enjoy a little
warmth inside with a lobster bake. It's a surprising way to
treat your friends to a great meal, without a lot of fuss
and clean up. You'll stand out from the usual winter dinner
party fare, and be able to give everyone a great meal and a
great time.

Food - Eliminate Outdoor Cooking Mistakes
by Marvin Hagen
As humans, we all make mistakes. It is human nature to do
so, and cannot be prevented apiece and every time. When it
comes to barbequing, this rule is no different. We often
make mistakes that we do not even realize until we taste our
food, or something potentially chanceful happens.
Some mistakes just mean that the food you cook is not going
to taste very good, while others could potentially mean a
trip to the hospital, or a visit from your claims
representative on your home insurance policy.
You must properly prepare the meat you are cooking, before
cooking it. You should never attempt to cook meat on a grill
when it is still frozen, or even partially frozen.
Once meat is cooked, never put it back in on the same plate
you had it on when it was raw. This could cause the spread
of many unwanted illnesses. Cooking with charcoal lighter
fluid can be good or bad. The lighter fluid will cause the
food you are cooking to taste different then with other
types of grills.
Never poke you meat while it is cooking. Poking holes in
meat will cause the juice inside to leak out into the bottom
of the grill. Not only will this make your food dry and
unappealing in the end, but it also could potentially ruin
your barbeque grill.
Once the meat is on the grill, try not to open the lid to
many times. Each time you open the lid, you change the
temperature in the grill. The constant change in temperature
and the air flow will cause your meat to dry up quickly.
Remember that the higher the heat is not always the better.
While it is ok to quickly cook food, turning the heat up
will just cause the meat to dry up and potentially burn.
While using tin foil or aluminum foil will make cleaning
easier, it will cause your food to have more of a fried
taste then a grilled taste. Never, under any circumstance,
should you leave a grill alone when it is in use. Grilling
does have fire involved, and accidents can happen. Fire
spreads quickly, so being aware of your grill could mean the
difference between a small fire that is quickly
extinguished, and a visit from the fire department.
Never place a hot grill against a wall, even if the fire is
already completely out. A hot grill can heat up an exterior
wall to the point of combustion. Also, do not put the grill
cover back on until you are sure that the grill is
completely cool. You grill should be cleaned after each and
every use, no exceptions. While no one likes cleaning the
grill, it is essential for the life and safety of your
grill.
Make sure that your grill is completely cold before cleaning
it. Spraying oil and cleaning agents on a hot surface could
cause it to ignite. Be careful, because the grill may seem
cool, but may still be hot in certain areas. You do not want
to sustain a burn.

Everybody can learn how to cook
by Ella Simmons
Today's housewives are increasingly prone to buy ready-made
meals which can help them be more productive. Enjoyable as
oatmeal recipes are, I always feel robbed in such cases.
Cooking with vegetable oil is suitable to vegan cuisine in
general. Many cooks believe that it is easier to prepare
veggie meals and recipes. You need to have the vegan cuisine
know how. That's the reality.
Olive oil benefits kind of took my breath away. Cooking tips
shoes there is a blueprint for homemade pizza recipes. If
you are taking vegan cuisine seriously you could consider to
experiment new ways of offering diversity to your family.
Let's consider the most important things you need to learn
when it comes to it.
TBy learning only a few simple steps you can prove you can
cook better.
Check that you have acquired all tools and spices you need
to use in most of the meals. Buy a cook book, and improve
your creativity and style in the kitchen.
You shouldn't repeat the same meal for more than 2
consecutive times. In case you do so, the recipes you overdo
will lose their savor and you'll be seen as a lousy cook.
These are some feasible ideas everybody can consider. The
desire to be a vegetarian does not have to send you to
cooking schools. When going vegetarian you need to pay
attention to diversification of menus.
Anybody who's a good cook can photograph their creations and
upload them on a site for other people to take advantage.
All great recipes websites started from this kind of passion
and knowledge.
A good cooking tip is to rotate the spices you use in your
meals. The same food with different spices will have a
totally different taste. The preference for certain flavors
is individual and cannot be disputed.
It's highly beneficial that at regular intervals of time to
indulge yourself and take your family to dine out at least
once a month.
Ella's recipe of marinated meatballs has won an award in a
local cooking contest. She describes it in her cooking tips
blog.

Intriguing Facts About Rice
by James Frankie
One of the popular questions that many people have in mind
when it comes to rice is whether it is healthy for one's
health. Since rice is one of the starchy foods, people tend
to think that it is fattening but nothing can be further
from the truth. However, if you add margarine, oil or even
cheese into the rice, the overall calories will increase.
Since rice is a one of the grain products that is high in
vitamins, carbohydrates and minerals, you can be rest
assured that they are good for you.
Rice is normally eaten in Asia where it is the famous staple
food that low in saturated fat. Paddy rice is usually
available in most grocery stores as a long black grain. Rice
is considered to be the focus of the meal in Asian cuisine
while the Westerns tend to think of it as a side dish.
Rice is best cooked when simmered. Unless you don't have a
proper rice cooker, you can always cook your rice in a pot
or an oven. You will also find that wholly unpolished rice
is going to be more expensive than the mill-husked rice. You
can clearly see the difference between paddy rice and wild
rice when you cook them.
When you remove the outer inedible husk from a rice grain,
you will get the brown rice. Brown rice has a light tan
coating which is very nutritious and high in fiber and it is
quite chewy and taste like nut. The fiber in brown rice is
very useful for controlling the blood sugar level so anyone
with diabetes problem should treat brown rice as a staple.
Did you know that the fiber found in brown rice can actually
reduce your risk of having colon cancer because it can help
bind the cancer causing chemicals, thus keeping them away
from the cells lining the colon? It normally takes about 45
minutes to cook brown rice but with the quick-fix brown
rice, you can cook brown rice in as little as 10 minutes.

What Diabetics can Eat for Breakfast
by Marcus Clarkson
If you are someone who has been diagnosed with diabetes it
is vital that you eat the correct kinds and amounts of
foods. If not then you may well find that the condition is
much more difficult to control. Today when it comes to
finding out what are the right foods the internet is a great
place to look for help and advice. In fact many sites now
offer special sample breakfast menus for diabetics to try
out for themselves.
It is these menus which will then ensure that the breakfast
they eat each morning is enjoyable. In fact as you will soon
discover when searching for such breakfast menu ideas these
allow you to be a little bit more creative with what you are
actually allowed to eat.
Below we offer details of three different types of
breakfast menus that you may wish to try if you suffer from
diabetes. All of which can be made quickly and easily and
contain the right number of calories and carbohydrates which
your body will need.
Menu 1 - Take 1 slice of whole wheat bread and toast to
your liking. Then once toasted spread over it 1 tspn of
margarine. As well as the toast you can also have either a
1/4 cup of cottage cheese or an egg substitute. Plus if you
so wish replace the cottage cheese with 1/2 cup of oatmeal
mixed with 1/2 cup skimmed milk and 1/2 small banana.
Menu 2 - This one is even far easier to make than the menu
mentioned above. Take 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries and drink
1 cup of fat free or low fat milk with them. However if you
want in place of the blueberries instead have a small
blueberry muffin or other type of breakfast pastry with a
cup of fat free milk.
Menu 3 - Certainly Menu 2 is ideal for those who are
needing to leave home quickly to get to work or school. But
if you have a little more time available, try out the
following. Get 2 slices of whole wheat bread and toast them
then very lightly spread over them 2 tbspns of peanut
butter. But along with the toast you can have one small
banana and a cup of coffee or tea.
When you are preparing any of the menus above in order to
ensure that your blood sugar levels remain constant it is
best that you eat at the same time each day. However, what
you must never do is avoid having any breakfast at all.
Another important point to remember when preparing any kind
of sample breakfast menu for diabetics you want to try is
that you use the exact measurements stated in them. If
insufficient or too much of any one food is used this can
further aggravate the diabetes rather than actually helping
to keep it under control.

Eat Smaller Portions To Stay Healthy
by Patty Cocchiarella
Many experts suggest that people should eat more vegetables
and fruits in order to create a better diet. There are
indexes like the Food Pyramid or the Glycemic Index that
helps people cut calorie but many do not talk about the fact
that portions also have to be under control.
When you read popular magazines they tell you that the age
old way of losing weight is to eat smaller portions; instead
of putting two scoops of mashed potatoes on your plate only
put one and see how that works.
People are also encouraged to eat six small meals a day
instead of two or three big ones. All of these methods help
some people lose the weight they want. If you practice this
you will not be hungry throughout the day because it also
boosts your metabolism.
Portion control is important because most people eat way
more than they need especially when they are at a social
gathering. Also, there are many different ideas as to what a
portion looks like. As an example, what comes to mind when
you think of a four ounce serving of meat? This is not easy
to get a picture of because most people do not go around
measuring their food.
If you need to control your portions sometimes it helps if
you have something you can use that can show you visually
what you need to do. As an example, an individual who has
diabetes or has had bariatric surgery may have small
measuring cups and other types of measures in order to help
them see the portion correctly.
Some people have found that by using a Meal Measure they can
more readily see the portions and stick to them. This is a
handy device that takes the guess work out of making
portions because it has them all properly measured.
Portion control is a lot easier today because there is so
much information about what you can eat and how you can
prepare your food. You can still have something delicious
without stretching your stomach to its limits.
Children can sometimes be the most vulnerable when it comes
to having to eat more than they need because they are often
pushed by well meaning family members to continue eating
once they are full. The bottom line is if you control your
portions and stay within a good weight range, you will be
healthier.
Patty is a wife, mother of 3 children, an inventor, and
entrepreneur. She invented a tool to help people who need to
control their portions whether for Diabetes or weight loss.
There are 16 hospitals and numerous stores around the
country selling her new product. It has been featured on the
Today Show and is a 3 x Editor's Pick on RealAge.com. Her

Acai berries? Blueberries may be nearly as effective
by Mark Goodman
1. Blueberries
You might already be aware of blueberries' high antioxidant
content, but surprisingly many people are not. Easy to find
at most any grocery store or market, blueberries are one of
the easiest and most effective ways to increase your
antioxidant intake naturally without pills. The ORAC rating
of one cup blueberries is very high at 9019.[1] If you can
afford to, eating one cup a day is an excellent way to
supplement your diet.
2. Blackberries
Along with blueberries, blackberries are probably one of
grandma's favorite pie ingredients. What grandma probably
never realized was that blackberries are an excellent source
of highly concentrated antioxidants. With an ORAC rating of
7701 per cup, blackberries are near the top of the list of
antioxidant-rich berries.[1]
3. Cherries
With an ORAC value listed at 4873[1] per cup, cherries are
high on the list of antioxidant-rich berries. As the
favorite berry of many, there is no mistaking their sweet
taste, but knowing how beneficial they are for your health
should provide even more incentive to grab a bunch next time
you're at the grocery.
4. Wolfberries
Wolfberries, also known as goji berries are relatively
unknown in North America, but the opposite is the case in
China. The Chinese have been eating wolfberries for
centuries. They have probably realized the health benefits
of wolfberries longer than North Americans have known how
good blueberries taste. While it's hard to track down an
ORAC rating for wolfberries which hasn't been skewed by
commercial interests, it's probably safe to assume the value
is somewhere near or slightly greater than that of
blueberries.
5. Acai berries
Made popular recently by Oprah and internet marketers
everywhere, acai is another berry which is high in
antioxidants. As with wolfberries, to ORAC value of acai
berries has not been confirmed by an independent study, it
would probably be safe to assume their antioxidant value
lies somewhere equal to or above that of blueberries. They
do taste good and the juice has a semi-sweet flavor which
even tastes like it's good for you. Considering how long
they have been cultivated an eaten in South America, they
must have some merit besides flavor.
6. Noni berries
You might be most familiar with noni in juice form. It's
common to see noni juice all over health food stores, but
the berries themselves are rather difficult to find. While
the noni berry is high in antioxidants, what you may not
know is that the ORAC rating for them is less than the
rating for oranges.[2] I've included noni in this list to
make people aware that the common blueberry most likely has
more antioxidants than the noni berry.
The ORAC rating of a fruit is not the only value you should
consider when determining its nutritional value. There are
many more factors to take into account such as
anti-inflammatory xanthone and flavonoid content. A wise
choice would be to alternate consumption of several
different fruits to receive the unique benefits of each.

Eating A Low Carb Cholesterol Diet For A Healthy Lifestyle
by Adrian Fletcher
It would be easy to think that cholesterol is a bad thing
for the body as it only ever receives bad press, so to
speak, when it comes to health matters. However it is a
naturally occurring substance that serves many vital roles
in the body. Indeed, for our body to function properly we
need cholesterol. Cholesterol helps to form certain cell
membranes and hormones. Two types of cholesterol exist, HDL
and LDL, and our body produces both of these in the amounts
required. Supplementation is not needed which is why excess
cholesterol can be harmful. The best way to control this is
by eating a low carb cholesterol diet.
With a low carb cholesterol diet, the types of foods that
will increase body fat are eliminated or reduced. This is
the main reason why a low carb cholesterol diet will work in
most cases. Insulin and sugar levels, along with body fat,
are increased by foods that are high in carbohydrates, like
starchy foods and foods high in sugar. The danger with
consuming too much of these types of food is that
cholesterol levels are raised, which can lead to heart
problems and other health issues.
Cholesterol is found in many foods, particularly those that
contain trans fats and/or saturated fats. Most people who
are overweight or obese have high cholesterol levels in
their body. One can decrease body fat and bad cholesterol by
choosing a low carb cholesterol diet that will provide
necessary nutrients for the body without adding additional
sugars and starches.
Eating foods low in carbohydrates has the effect of
decreasing insulin produced by the body. In order to
generate the energy needed to function, the body will then
use the excess sugars and fats that are already stored. A
low carb cholesterol diet will allow you to lose excess
weight more quickly. This is good for lowering cholesterol
and reducing the chances of developing diseases like
diabetes.
When you are on a low carb cholesterol diet you can eat most
of the foods you like. You will need to read the labels to
check if the amount of carbohydrates is low enough and how
much sugar it has. It is extremely important that you teach
yourself and know about the food products that have too many
carbs and too much cholesterol. You can stay away from them
or offset these high carb foods with foods that have fewer
carbs. Simple carbs are the things to avoid. These are easy
to breakdown by the body so no energy is used to process
them. Look to complex carbs to fill the carb component of
any diet you go on.
You may be surprised at the variety of foods that can be
eaten on a low carb cholesterol diet. With greater awareness
of the benefits of reducing cholesterol, more products are
now available at the supermarket that are geared for
improving heart health. Even previously forbidden foods such
as pasta now have low carb varieties which can be eaten on
this plan.
If you want to lose weight, feel healthier, have more energy
and get faster results on your cholesterol levels, exercise
is an important key factor. Double check with your doctor
before you begin any new eating plan, including a low carb
cholesterol diet, to be absolutely certain this is the right
choice for you. If you are pregnant or nursing, or if you
already have a medical condition that might limit you, it is
extremely important for you to get the go-ahead from your
doctor.

Food Tips - Wading Through Various Grill Features
by Marvin Hagen
When seeking in to opposite grills features, we might be
faced with what seems identical to an unfamiliar language.
How have been we suspect to collect a griddle which is many
appropriate for us if we do not assimilate what we have been
reading? Whilst a denunciation used when describing grills
will not get any simpler to read, bargain what an infancy if
what it equates to will assistance we have a sensitive
decision.
Perhaps a single of a many critical things we should cruise
is a fuel type. Colourless grills have been a single of a
many used sorts of grills. Colourless grills implement
colourless as well as lighter liquid to feverishness up as
well as prepare your food.
Charcoal grills come in all shapes as well as sizes, as well
as change in cost. Colourless requires us to buy colourless
as well as lighter liquid any time we prepare with it. It
contingency additionally be spotless out any time.
Colourless grills come in tiny sizes, which have been
preferred for unit dwellers or people with tiny homes. Once
we have used your colourless grill, we can purify it, as
well as store it away. Propane grills have been additionally
utilitarian for someone in tiny areas, given they can come
in not as big sizes. Propane grills make use of propane gas
to prepare your food. Healthy gas grills have been tiny
some-more difficult afterwards not as big grills, so they
need some-more room. Healthy gas grills have been meant to
offshoot up but delay to your home's healthy gas line, as
well as can prepare beef in jot down time.
BTU is the measure of the amount of cooking power the
barbeque grill as. Simple math will be needed in determining
the amount of heat that your grill produces. Take the amount
of space acquirable for cooking (typically measured by
square inch) and divide it by the total amount of BTU's.
Ideally you will want at least 95 to 100 BTU's per square
inch of cooking space. So for example, if you have a grill
with 50,000 BTU's and 450 square inches of cooking space,
then you will be receiving about 111 BTU's of cooking power
per square inch. Anything less, and you may want to consider
a different grill.
The subsequent thing we will wish to cruise is an in
progress surfaces. How most space does it have? Will we be
means to prepare for only you, or we complete family?
Depending upon your situation, we might wish to cruise an
incomparable or not as big grill.
What about cleaning? Does your grill have anything type of
features that allow you to clean it easier? Some grills
offer such things as a cleaning door, which allows you to
easier remove the used fuels. This is handy if you decide on
a charcoal and smoker grill. Some grills have a none stick
surface, which allows you to cook without food sticking, and
allows for very easy cleanup.
Another underline a little grills suggest a capability to
carry out opposite areas of your griddle with opposite
temperatures. This is typically tranquil by knobs upon a
front, identical to an oven. This allows we to prepare
opposite sorts of dishes during a same time. If we wish to
prepare a total dish upon a grill, this can be possible.
Starting your grill changed drastically with apiece type of
grill. Smokers and Charcoal burners require you to light the
media, the move for it to burn out and turn to embers before
cooking. This can take anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes.
Natural gas and propane gar grills can be started instantly,
wither by lighting the burners with a lighter, or by a knob
on the front, which is attached to a small hammer that slams
into a crystal, causing enough spark to ignite the fuel.

Home Delivered Diet Meals Offer Great Variety Amazing, Taste!
by Xania Hughes
Home delivered diet meals can make dieting so much easier
for many people, especially if they have tried dieting
before and found that food preparation is one of their
biggest obstacles to weight loss. One of the main problems
on a diet plan is monotony, and once we get it through our
heads that there's nothing good to eat on our weight loss
programs, it's very easy to become negative and lose sight
of our weight loss goals. Home delivered diet meals can
however change all that!
Here's a quick check-list of several of the benefits I
discovered about using home delivered diet meals:
1. Food variety! Professional home delivery diet
services today pride themselves on supplying gourmet style
meals full of flavour. The best plans have meals that have
been designed with flavour and interest in mind and offer
some amazing meals. The variety does not stop at just the
evening meal either as plans cater for interest and taste at
breakfast and lunchtime, also providing 2 snacks for between
meals
2. Home delivered diet meals are delivered to your door
frozen, fully prepared, and ready to heat and eat. The
weekly plans provide three meals and two snacks for every
day of the week, meaning you save time and energy by not
having to do special diet shopping and preparation.
3. Home delivered diet meals can help your budget. At an
average cost of about twenty dollars per day, home delivery
diets let you know that once you have paid for your weekly
plan you are not going to have to fork out any more money to
feed yourself for that week as you will be supplied with all
your meals and snacks.
4. No more boring diet diaries and remembering to count
all the calories of everything you eat. If you are like me,
I find that one of the most annoying chores on a diet plan
is tracking all my eating and writing it down. Home
delivered diet meals free us from this chore. All the
calculating is done for you and all you really need to do is
eat what is supplied-guilt free!
5. Home delivered diet meals free you from being tied
to the kitchen for hours on end! With all meals prepared to
gourmet standard, and every meal plan full of variety and
taste every single meal on your delivered meals plan is
structured to give you maximum flavour while still losing

heat ....and eat!
I think that many of us never really consider just what a
difference home delivered diet meals can make to our lives
when we are trying hard to lose weight. Dieting can be
stressful, and it is very easy just to give up because we
cant get our food right. Boredom often sets in because of
eating the same old thing, but all of this can be avoided
with home delivered diet meals created specifically to
satisfy both taste and hunger.
I have found personally that the home delivered diet meals
that suit me best are the plans from Bistro MD. Bistro MD

The Real Truth About Acai Berry Juice
by Ron Duckett
To buy Acai berry juice there is no need to go to Brazil and
into the Amazon jungles. Americans have only recently
realized the great Acai berry benefits that were growing for
centuries so close to them in the Amazon region of Brazil.
Modern fruit processing technology turned the Acai berry
extract into Acai berry juice after processing. It is
possible to buy the Acai berry juice online after logging on
to the internet. Over the internet it is also possible to
get to know about the other Acai berry products like pills,
powder and also jam. But Acai berry juice retains all the
vital ingredients that have made the Amazonian fruit so
famous on recent years.
Acai berry juice can stall the process of premature ageing;
develop bundles of energy and give people a quality of
health that they never dreamt of. But all of this hoopla for
the magic Acai berry didn't happen all of a sudden.
Naturally people have been hearing about the great
properties of food supplements form other manufacturers for
too long not to be interested in another product that has
begun to promise the moon. Before researchers in the US
began to notice the Acai berry benefits, the Brazilians in
the Amazon region had known some of it. They didn't have
technology at their disposal to know more.
Some of it gets lost when extracts are processed into pills
or powders or even jams for use on pancakes and breads, but
in the Acai berry juice, the potency to battle ill health
and combat the ageing process, none of them gets lost.
Buying Acai berry juice or Acai juices are a better option
than other products of its kind as it contains the
ingredients that are known for some of the startling health
benefits in recent years. Studies conducted by the
University of Florida have revealed great Acai juice
benefits in stalling the spread of cancer. Even if it cannot
cure leukemia, it has been seen in researches that the
extracts when applied to the leukemia cells, they get
destroyed.
Leukemia is a killer disease and many Americans are affected
which has made them go for the food supplement in a big way
in recent years. Buying Acai berry juice online is not a big
deal these days with the availability of all the products
online and with several offers to choose from. Acai berry
juice has been seen to effect weight loss in obese people if
they drink it regularly and Acai berry research has shown
how anti-oxidants are present in larger numbers compared to
other food supplements of its kind.
These also contain the vital ingredients for stalling the
ageing process, fighting off free radicals, helping in
digestion to prevent cardiovascular diseases and in boosting
general health and energy levels, but in the Acai berry
juice all of them remain intact even after processing the
extracts of Acai berry. Acai berry juice has become very
special as it can be drunk like any other juice. If people
are used to orange, apple and pineapple juice generally,
they can drink Acai berry juice which has a chocolate like
flavor where sugar need not be added for the weight
watchers. Acai berry juice has become very special for those
who are over weight as the Acai berry juice can cause weight
loss and much of the health problems can go away with
obesity.

Rare Exotic Berry Provides Secret to Health and Longevity
by Marcus C. Evans
People today have to work very hard to look great and stay
fit and healthy. We are exposed daily to toxins that weren't
around just a generation ago, and we deal with the stresses
of modern life that were unknown to our predecessors.
Staying healthy in these circumstances can be an uphill
battle.
This is why it might be a little strange that the solution
to such new problems is actually one that has been used for
thousands of years! The acai berry is a fruit that is found
in the Amazon rain forest, and it has long been revered for
its beneficial aspects by the people of the area. Now the
world at large is waking up to the benefits that this berry
offers, so make sure that you don't miss out.
You should know that the acai berry is loaded with
health-promoting antioxidants. The antioxidants fight the
build up of free radicals in your body, which can cause
tremendous damage, from promoting cancer to accelerating the
aging process.
The acai berry has several times the antioxidants in
blueberries. In addition to its astoundingly high
antioxidant content, the acai berry is a rich source of
essential fatty acids like omega 3 and omega 6. These
heart-healthy fatty acids are similar to fats found in olive
oil. The acai berry is also high in protein-building amino
acids. Each of these nutritional factors works in tandem to
make the acai berry a superpower for safeguarding human
health and promoting optimal longevity.

The Beginner's Guide to Making Fried Chicken
by KC Kudra
Fried chicken is near the top of the list when it comes to
comfort food. Succulent moist chicken covered in a crispy
batter is one of the most delicious foods there is. You can
deep fry, pan fry, or even oven fry chicken. Fried chicken
is also known as southern fried chicken and there are plenty
of different fried chicken recipes to have a go at to suit
your taste.
Fried Chicken Tips for Beginners
Do not worry if you have never made fried chicken before.
There is a first time for everybody and frying chicken is
not difficult. You have to be careful when handling raw
chicken. Using hot soapy water to wash everything the raw
chicken has come into contact with is important. In order to
make a fried chicken recipe, you need to dip your chicken
into a batter and fry it until it is golden brown on the
outside and cooked all the way through.
One of the easiest ways to coat the chicken pieces is to put
the dry ingredients into a Ziploc bag and shake the chicken
pieces in this mixture, a few at a time. Then you can dip
them into batter and fry them. This method also prevents
mess!
If you dredge your chicken in flour, then into an egg yolk
and milk mixture before dipping it into breadcrumbs, your
chicken will come out really crispy and crunchy.
Be very careful with hot oil and never leave it unattended.
Never have your face too near to the oil because it can
spatter. Use tongs to remove the chicken from the hot oil.
Different chicken parts cook at different rates so if you
are using a variety of chicken pieces, you will need to
start the thighs and legs first because these cook at 165
degrees F. Next add the breasts, turning the heat down to
160 degrees F and finally the wings which cook the fastest.
If your chicken is ready before the rest of the meal, do not
panic. Just put some water in an oven dish and put some
rolled up foil balls into it. Put a large piece of tin foil
across the top, put the chicken on this, and cover
everything with a lid. Keep it in a 175 degrees F oven until
the rest of the meal has finished cooking. The foil works as
a steamer, keeping the chicken moist and tender.
Fried Chicken Side Dishes
There are lots of different side dishes that go well with a

deep fried chicken recipe including French fries and corn on
the cob or mashed potatoes with green beans.
If you are making party food, fried chicken is always a
popular dish. Estimating how much food for a party is the
right amount can be hard but make too much rather than too
little because it is nice cold the following day. Serve
mayonnaise, catsup, and other dips on the buffet table so
people have something to dip their fried chicken into if
they choose too.
Fried chicken is a classic comfort food and no one knows how
to make it better than the southern United States. If you

A Healthy and Delicious Chicken Dinner
by Jana Banks
Traditionally this is the season when a lot of us start
thinking about healthy eating and healthier habits. We join
gyms, try to get out and exercise, and try to eat healthier
foods. Often eating a balance, more sensible diet sounds
good on paper but can be awfully hard to follow-through on
in our daily lives. And some of the diets outlined can seem
pretty bland and dull. Most recommend whole grains, fresh
fruits and vegetables, and lean meat like poultry.
Chicken is very versatile meat that can be combined with so
many dishes and cooked in so many ways that it rarely gets
boring. Chicken can be sauted, baked, stir-fried, broiled,
barbecued - the possibilities are endless. The wonderful
thing about chicken is that it absorbs any of the many
flavors and spices you choose to produce great tasting
dishes.
Chicken is also popular because it is a quick cooker, making
it a favorite for the rushed weekday meals as well as
weekend gatherings. You can easily make a tasty chicken
cutlet dinner and serve it on the table in less than 25
minutes. Simply bake some honey mustard or breaded cutlets
for 20 minutes or so, serve with a side of mashed potatoes
(boxed spuds are just fine) and fresh, green sugar snap peas
for a delicious dinner. Save time later in the week by
making extra portions now for a great second serving.
If you have an kitchen grill like a George Foreman grill,
you can enjoy barbecued chicken all year long. If you're not
in the mood for cutlets, why not make your own kebobs as a
fun and fast meal. Cube your chicken and skewer the pieces
along with some pieces of red and green pepper and pineapple
chunks and grill. Serve with some herbed risotto and a fresh
baby green salad. This dish is sure to delight everyone in
your family.
Even without a wok, you can create great tasting chicken
stir-fry dishes in no time at all. You can use any
good-sized frying pan or skillet that will serve as your wok
quite easily. Stir-fry can be sweet or spicy and the chicken
can be cooked up with some great veggies to create a
well-rounded, healthy main dish. Serve with fresh fruits and
brown rice for a delicious dinner.
If you're kick-starting your healthy diet and are ready to
add some more chicken into your diet, check out the web for
some wonderful free recipes offered on the many recipe sites
available. You'll also find a lot of great cookbooks
available for purchase in your favorite bookstore, with
beautiful photos and serving suggestions - so why not treat
yourself to a new cookbook too? It will inspire you create
all sorts of wonderful dishes.
To cook your chicken dinner, make sure you have a

quality cookware set to make your job easy. And if you need
some space to store your pots, why not display them on an

Are You Tired Of Wrong Information About Cooking With Seasonings?
by Ferdinand Okeke
Flavorers are mixtures of herbs, spices and condiments meant
to flavor and enhance the taste of your meal. Experts say
that seasoning and flavoring ones meal is not exactly the
same thing if we were to be more precise in definition.
According to them salt should not be considered as having
seasoning qualities because all it does is is to boost the
flavor of the meat you are cooking. On the other hand,
pepper and basil are to be included in the category of
seasonings so that they can transfer a certain flavor the
food you are cooking.
In case you can not find sazon seasoning in your local
superstores then you can simply buy bulk herbs and spices
and prepare your own mixture at home. The ingredients used
in this seasoning can boost the flavor to more or less spicy
food for the dish you are preparing. For instance, black
beans and rice rely on the sazon seasoning which requires
that you add to the dish olive oil, chopped onions, chopped
bell peppers, oregano and paprika, salt, black and cayenne
pepper. Black beans and rice is a specific Mexican dish and
sazon seasoning is quite recommended in order to obtain the
original taste. Other dishes for which you can use sazon
seasoning are chicken cutlets, crock pot roast, kidney bean
and rice, and so on. The list can go on.
Just like any other flavorer, sazon is for those who want to
make their meals a wonderful experience. People like eating
and trying foreign cuisines and this is no longer restrained
because of the space and distance factor. If you want Latino
taste, then all you need is sazon seasoning which is a whole
lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to Spain or Mexico.
Fish dishes are also very common, although today much of the
fish is imported since the fisheries of the Mediterranean
Sea are no longer what they used to be. Seafood is still
prominent in many of the standard Mediterranean dish
recipes. It is quite apparent that certain types of meats
and fruit or vegetables, as it is the case with Mediterraean
cuisine, ask for specific/typical seasoning, in this
instance, mediterannean seasoning. Mediterranean foods and
dishes include barbecue or grilled meats, pita bread, hummus
and falafel which normally ask for special seasonings which
are to be found in the area of Mediterannean seasoning
obviously.
Celestial seasoning tea production dates back to 1969. In
Aspen, Colorado it all started with collecting herbs from
the Rocky Mountains and using them to prepare tea. This
action was led by Mo Siegel and his friends who later
decided to make their own shop in Boulder. Whatever came
after is only the logical course of events related to a
growing business. The celestial seasoning tea became popular
all throughout North America because they have created many
categories and types of teas meant to suit an entire
population.

The Acai Berry packs a health punch
by David King
The Brazilian fruit called the Acai Berry is rich in
vitamins, protein and fiber. Those are not the only health
benefits to the Acai Berry. The Acai Berry is also packed
with antioxidants and omega fatty acids, the good fatty
acids that most of us don't not get enough of.
Acai Berry and Antioxidants
The Acai Berry is loaded with antioxidants. These
antioxidants are extremely important to the long term health
of our bodies as they counteract the effects of free
radicals in our body. By simply increasing the amount of our
antioxidants we can reduce the chances of illnesses and
cancers.
Our bodies do not produce enough antioxidants on there own
so we need to increase our levels. You can do this by
consuming plenty of brightly colored fruits and vegetables
such as carrots, tomatoes and you can even go as far as to
drink red wine. What makes the Acai Berry a particularly
attractive addition to your diet is that the Acai Berry
packs quite the antioxidant punch. This little pitted berry
has twice as much antioxidant power as blueberries, one of
the fruits that is well known as one of our best sources.
Essential Fatty Acids
Our bodies produce Omega 9 fatty acids so it is not
essential that we find a supplement for it. Omega 3 and 6 on
the other hand our bodies do not produce and they are also
considered the most important of the 3 fatty acids that we
need for maximum health.
The Acai Berry comes packed with all three essential fatty
acids which makes it that much more of a super fruit.
Deficiencies in essential fatty acids like omega 3 can
contribute to cancer, depression, increased risk of heart
attacks and other serious health conditions. Using an Acai
Berry supplement can further reduce your chances of getting
a serious illness.
The Acai Berry is also a huge source of fiber, protein and
vitamins, particularly the b vitamins. With the acai berry
containing antioxidants and all three Omega's you can see
clearly why researchers are calling this little pitted berry
a super fruit.
Grocery stores do not carry the acai berry, it does not ship
well. The best way to add the acai berry to your diet is
either through a pill form or though a juice.

Amanda's Amazing Hot Chocolate Recipe
by Betty Ignante
When you think of great hot chocolate, you generally thinkof New England, the upper Midwest, and other cold weatherareas.Maybe so, but do not overlook Louisiana. Specifically, SouthLouisiana, where food and drink are taken very seriously. In fact, my very favorite hot chocolate recipe belongs to auniversity administrator, wife, and mother who grew up inAbbeville, where nearly everyone is an accomplished cook, even the men. Here is Amanda's recipe.Put ten cups of dry powdered milk in a large bowl.Add two and a half cups of Coffee-Mate or an equivalentproduct.Fold in eighteen ounces of cocoa mix. Amanda uses Nestle's.Add 1 1/4 cups of powdered sugar, and mix everythingtogether thoroughly. When the mixture is completed, add two heaping teaspoons toa cup of hot water to try it, and add a bit more of anyingredient to suit your taste. It is great as is, but Igenerally add a bit more cocoa.Whether you make a little ingredient adjustment or not, youand your family will love the results.Betty Ignante is currently collecting recipes for a newwebsite. Your Dinner Recipes Easy and Practical
by Peter Hallway
People are busier today than ever in history. Modern
technology may make things faster and easier, but the world
has compensated by demanding that people do more. What
suffers is home life. There's less time for daily chores.
That includes meals. That's why people are always on the
look out for ways to make dinner recipes easy. Fortunately
there are many sources and ideas for quick recipes and
easier ways to prepare food.
Forty years ago people cooked a lot more from scratch. If
they ate sausage, they bought casings and meat and stuffed
the sausages themselves. When they ate pasta they used home
made noodles and home made sauce made from tomatoes and
other ingredients. Cooking was an all day affair. With far
fewer women in the work force that was hard, but not
impossible. But as people began to realize they wanted more
from life than cooking and cleaning every day, more and more
pre-packaged and pre-prepared foods began to appear. Cake
baking, for example, slowly converted from mixing flour,
eggs, vanilla, milk, carefully melted chocolate and many
many other ingredients to opening a box and mixing in some
eggs and milk. Today baking a good cake is a matter of
about an hour, only 5 or so minutes of which are mixing and
measuring. In the old days it could take half a day to
properly make a cake. The world has changed.
Many sources now tell people how to make quicker meals. The
television cooking shows are more popular than ever. Things
were tough when Julia Child talked about fancy French
cooking while the Galloping Gourmet hit the sauce every day.
There's more focus in today's shows on cooking for the rest
of us. It's more 20 minute meals and foods that can be
prepared in under a half hour. It's more than just a can of
tuna. The shows deliver quick cooking that looks a lot more
complex.
Pre-packaged and ready made foods are a lot better than they
were, too. Many grocery stores now carry deli meals
including already cooked chickens, meat loaf, pot roast,
mashed potatoes and more. It's like buying a restaurant
meal at the store, then bringing it home to eat. Many of
these foods can be refrigerated or frozen to eat another
day. That's another idea. It's often easier to prepare all
the meals for the week on the weekend, then freeze them for
reheating during the week. Many foods including lasagna are
actually better reheated.
It's still possible to have good meals without breaking the
bank. Find tips about making dinner recipes easy everywhere
you look. Enjoy meals like in the old days.

Comparing Energy Shots, 5 hour energy vs. Verve Enegy Shot
by Dr. Haywood Jablome
Energy Drinks and Energy shots have become a very big
market. Mostly unhealthy, I am going to compare the healthy
Verve energy shot versus the leader in the market, 5 hour
energy.
The 5 hour energy shot contains Vitamins ( Vitamin B6,
Vitamin B12, Niacin (Vitamin B3), Folic Acid (Vitamin B9).
The Energy Blend in 5 hour Energy is Citicoline, Tyrosine,

(standardized 10% xanthones)
You would have to be a moron to look at the two ingredient
lists and not see a significant difference. One is an
energy shot with some vitamins, the other is a complete
supplement that happens to give a ton of energy.
Comparing the price of these two shots, the Verve Energy
shot is actually less expensive than the 5 hour energy shot.
The Verve Energy shot retails for $3, the 5 hour energy
shot is usually selling for around $4.
Looking at the two bottles, side by side, the Verve Energy
shot bottle is a lot better looking. The 5 hour energy shot
is in a plain jane looking little bottle where the Verve
Energy shot bottle is very unique and slick.
I tasted both and hands down, the Verve Energy shot tastes
way better. The Verve energy shot tasted better cold, but
wasn't too bad at room temperature as well. The 5 hour
energy taste wasn't bad but had a strange after taste.
After comparing these two different products, I have reached
the conclusion that the Verve Energy shot is here to stay.
The Verve Energy delivers more value for the buck, giving
more nutrition, a better taste and packaging that is very
cool. I see a lot of people making the switch.

Studies Show Acai Berrys can fight Cancer and Leukemia
by Dr. Jerimiah Crossderd
There was a recent study at the University of Florida where
a popular fruit known as the acai berry showed that it
contains antioxidants that were able to destroy cancer
cells.
This study showed that acai berry triggered a self-destruct
response in up to 86 percent of the leukemia cells tested
according to the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
where the results were published.
A abundant source of antioxidants which fight and prevent
harmful acai from entering the body can be found in the acai
berry. This research has strengthened the hypothesis that
adding an acai berry extract can be very beneficial to the
human body.
Please note that this study was not to show hat the
properties in the acai berry can cure leukemia in humans.
This study was never intended to raise any false hopes that
the acai berry is a cure for leukemia. The results are
still very positive however. The human body has shown
promising results with compounds that have been tested under
the cell-culture model.
Antioxidants have not been directly proven to fight cancer
cells in the human body because of other factors such as
biochemical processes. However, research has shown that
fruits such as guavas, grapes, and mango's' have
antioxidants that have been known to kill cancer cells as
well.
Acai berries is are perishable and must be eaten immediately
after picking. The process to preserve acai berries have
only been available for about five years, so researchers in
many parts of the world have had little or no opportunity to
study them.
Acai berrys are produced by a palm tree known scientifically
as Euterpe oleracea, common in floodplain areas of the
Amazon River. When the berry is ripe, it is purple and
about the size of a grape. It's contained in a thin layer of
an edible pulp surrounding a large seed.
The local people of the amazon have been using the acai
berry to treat conditions ranging from skin disorders to
digestive problems. recently, the acai berry has proven
helpful in loosing weight and lowering cholesterol.
For three decades, Dr. Jerimiah Crossderd has been
researching all of the wondrous benefits of the acai berry.
He has a detailed
